Found along the east coast of Tasmania near the picturesque hamlet of Little Swanport, it’s 84 acres of pure relaxation where you can smell the sea!
And it’s here amongst their large wattle paddocks that you can find free range, rare heritage bred pigs; Wessex Saddleback, Tamworth and Berkshire roaming and foraging across this remarkable countryside.
Watching these pigs forage and grow at their own pace means they’re being raised in a natural and primal setting without the toughness that comes from the fight for survival in the wild. Their health is optimised through nutrition and the watchful care of their farmers Paul and Selina.
That’s the true meaning of ‘free range’ - a slow pace where fat marbling and flavour develops in its own time.
Our Heritage Breed Lard is a union of passion - combining their incredibly patient farming techniques with our own craftsmanship to produce a small batch free range product from an iconic Tasmanian landscape.
